Hello.
I’m Drew, and welcome to the bio section of my website which may or may not have been written by one of my writer friends. I was raised in Seattle. Educated in Pullman at Washington State University—Go Cougs! Starved but survived in Brooklyn, shout out to Bed Stuy. And planted my roots in San Francisco, we’re I’ve been for over a decade and picked up a few things—like two Cannes Lions and where to get the best burrito. El Farolito—you’re welcome.
You’re still reading? Great, because this is where it gets good. I can pinpoint a shift in my life when art became my focus in life when I started skateboarding. Skateboarding exposed a young adolescent Drew to graphic design, underground music, video editing, street art and a counterculture that felt like home. I continued to skateboard through college where I attended Washington State and eventually Miami Ad School. Skateboarding seemed to continue teaching me a lesson over and over; and rather painfully, accept failure as part of the process but never the ending result.
This passion led me to Miami Ad School. I pride myself as a creative who can find the art that comes out of the tension between a problem and real human insights. Up to this point, I have been lucky to have found a number of great places to work with incredibly talented people. Agencies such as Goodby, Edelman, and FCB West have all helped me learn new tricks to add to my creative arsenal, spanning from social, digital, and traditional. But enough about where I’ve been. Let’s talk about where we’re going and the great things we’re going to create together.
